Build Out Process
Where We Are in the Build
5 Daughters Ranch is proudly in its startup phase—a phase defined not by limitation, but by faith, sacrifice, and relentless commitment. Every step we’ve taken to this point has been entirely self-funded through our personal salaries alone. We have not relied on revenue from any business we own. Instead, this ranch is being built through long nights, steady discipline, and an unwavering belief that God placed this mission on our hearts for a reason. Every board, every fence post, and every investment reflects a deeper purpose: creating a place where youth can grow, learn, and thrive.
One of our greatest blessings is that we own the land outright, giving us full control over the long-term vision of the ranch. Our home is already completed on the property, establishing a true multigenerational foundation. This land is not simply where we live—it is where this mission will grow for years to come, ensuring sustainability and continuity for future families and future youth.
Completed to Date
Over the past months, we’ve made significant progress in constructing the core infrastructure of 5 Daughters Ranch. A fully air-conditioned barn structure is already built, designed to shield cattle from the intense Texas heat and ensure best-in-class comfort. All interior components—stalls, fans, wash racks, tie areas, lighting, and tack storage—have been purchased and are ready for installation. Perimeter and pasture fencing is complete, and our pastures have been carefully planned for rotational grazing to support healthy livestock development.
We have also secured the essential equipment needed to begin cattle operations, and a detailed layout has been created for youth training areas, fitting stations, and hands-on educational zones. Alongside the physical build, major strides have been made in branding, mission development, and community outreach as we prepare to open our doors to youth and supporters alike.
In Progress Right Now
We are currently outfitting the interior of the barn with electrical, water lines, and ventilation systems to bring the space to full operational readiness. Installation of wash bays and tie-out systems is underway, helping us prepare a functional environment for daily cattle care and youth training. Additionally, we are preparing sections of the land for new pens, alleyways, and working areas where students will learn, practice, and develop essential livestock-handling skills.
Our digital foundation is also being strengthened, with website upgrades and an expanded online presence in development to support future sponsorships, partnerships, and community engagement initiatives.
Future Expansion
The barn currently under construction is just the beginning. It represents Barn 1 of a planned two-barn system that will allow us to serve more youth with excellence. Barn 2 will include additional climate-controlled stalls, professional fitting and clipping areas, a dedicated educational and demonstration space, and expanded storage for feed, equipment, and veterinary supplies. This expansion is essential for supporting larger groups of students and advancing the quality of training we can offer.
Another key component of our long-term growth is the purchase of a dedicated truck and trailer for transporting youth cattle. We never want transportation to be the reason a hardworking young person cannot attend jackpots, county fairs, or major shows. Providing reliable hauling ensures every child in our program has the same access, the same opportunities, and the same chance to shine—no matter their circumstances.
